Stupid Evolving Internet Marketing

A good idea for a domain like this is to just pump it full of content, just write and write exclusive content, that is say things in a novel way that haven’t been said before to attract traffic. Make a whole heap of social media profiles where you just spout the same random gibberish, and get it propogated as far as possible via rss across the internet.

Dont worry about

  • building an audience
  • building a list
  • building a personal profile
  • Be the antithesis of all of that, and just get mountains of content out there are as quickly as possible. It would be interesting to see what the time difference / payoff equation came out equaling when you compared this to a more “by the book” internet marketing approach that i normally follow.

    Just create stupid sites, which evolve over time to be content rich domains with heaps of monetisation things all over them. Like every third post should be about an affiliate product, and then the few around it should be about the same subject. All of the posts should take a maximum of five minutes to write, and have around 400 words minimum. Try to seo and keyword write them to some degree if you can.

    What the aim of this is to create a clientless, prdouctless, business less way to create ongoing income via the web that may be done anywhere

World economy has a long way down to go

Looking at news.com.au today, they had a piece about Kevin Rudd writing an essay about “Stopping Capatilism Canabilising Itself” . It looks like it is going to make interesting reading when it is released later this week.

The leaders of the world are starting to realise that you can run an infinite, ever growing system on the top of a finite resource (the earth.) With more people than ever, this may be the first wakeup for modern western people that they cannot continue to consume the resources of the rest of the world, and the resources of the future people of the earth. They are simply going to run out of ’stuff’ to commoditise, reprocess and sell to the masses.

I think the current world leaders have inherited some massive problems from the cut and run, slash and burn neo conservative style that has dominated politics for the last two decades in the worlds leading countries. Complete free market capitalism has burnt every resource until in becomes no longer renewable, a barren wasteland that can not be re-used, re- farmed, re-mined etc.

The modern world as it stands now offers people so much, but also takes so much. We need to find a way to keep the parts of it we like, and get rid of the parts that cost way to much to justify… fast.

The semantic brain of the wikipedA.I

One thing the random wikipedia article has shown me is that there is just a massive amount of boring facts out there. I mean, i am as big a trivia buff as anyone out there, but this stuff just serves no purpose whatsoever.

Some of the things that are recorded are so trivial that i am sure that No-one will ever have to refer back to that page as the answer to any query about anything ever. But it sure is building one complete semantic database of the whole of human thought and history. So big thumbs up there for sure.

With all of this knowledge and connection, it can’t be too long before some bright spark works out how bootstrap some kind of basic AI to sort and collate all of the pages, and by infering the links and the connections, bring about a basic level of intelligence. Becuase thats one of the basic things that shows that a system / person is intelligent. The amount of meaningful connections they can make between two physicly or informationaly disparate entities before them.

It is going to be the same for human intelligence going forward. Every fact, well at least one persons interperetation of every fact, that has ever been relevant will be recorded in the near future. With data traveling with us in our pockets, wrists or even interfaced into our brains remembering facts is going to be a waste of brain power, while interopereting data and connection will be the evolutionary driving force going forwards

To niche or not to niche

Here is a question for anyone who finds this blog in the future, at some time. Is is better to have a blog that is all about a single niche, or just fill a large wordpress installation up with content, and trap the passing traffic with a click or a comment.

Most blogs out there are not digested in one huge chunk, but just as seperate posts. One is read, and then the reader moves on. There is not point in having one consistant whole, if that is less interesting and optimised to find search results.

What you really should have is one domain with the maximum amount of novelty as possible. The largest amount of sticky search terms to attract long tail visitors. Especially if the site is not a personal branding site.

Please internet blog authors, just write what you want to write, not what you think people want to hear.

The Media Covers A Fractured Version Of The Truth

There is the common misconception in modern society that the news media is concerned with telling you the truth. I am sure there are some journalists out there who uphold some standards of truth telling, however the vast majority know their place is in the entertainment business.

Its not about telling the truth, its about telling people a fractured version of factual events. The version that entices them to watch more, and not be so confronting as to turn the channel.

And i can see that you can view the world as either filled with misery, or filled with love, and each would have certain validity in the viewpoint expressed. But what we are shown and told on a daily basis from the media is that there is bad shit that happens, things will always be this way and there is not a thing that we can do about it.

We really need to get away from the concept of news, and start to develop programs more around action. Like instead of seeing a passive showreel of atrocities on different scales, we should see programming showing people who are getting a foothold against the machine of endless growth, greed and capitalism and are starting to put people, and the world in front of bottom lines and balance sheets.

world full of fractal sequences

Everywhere you look in the world, we see fractal sequences. Self repeating patterns that grow in complexity, where the sum equals the whole, and the whole equals the sum.

I have read recently that if you get a hologram, and cut it into pieces, each part will then display the full image. Like if you have a hologram of a cat, and cut it in half. The two pieces won’t each show each half of the cat. They will show two full cats.

Its a bit like genetics isn’t it. Each cell in your body holds the information to make a whole new you. Every single cell.

Mathematically, fractal sequences look like this

Fractal geometry is found all throughout biological and physical nature. It is a self ordering structure inherent in the information and mathematics that comprise reality (or at least describe it)

Wikipedia Content Creation System

The main way of writing this blog is by hunting down random wikipedia articles, and then streaming out my thoughts on the subject and giving it the best SEO tags that i can find.

To do this I use the following tool

By doing this, i can get articles indexed on this page in a matter of an hour, getting to the top of google for the query string that is the article title.

It is my hypothesis that if i do this long enough, there will be a long chain of results that will result in some form of passive adsense income. It is also a great way to get ideas flowing as it gives your mind 100% free reign to write about anything that comes to mind.

The semantic goldrush

Well actually the site has got two which is cool. One from Seamus, and the other from some guy who took my quick written CRM article, which was a thinly vieled insult in disguise.

So that proves a couple of things. 1, that the site has been taken out of googles sandbox, and is now being indexed as it should. this is great becuase i can start staking out keyword clusters for this domain now, and write about any new terms that i hear. We are in the middle of a semantic gold rush at the moment, although no one really knows it.

The sites that can stake out the tastiest keywords for the future will become the strongest future online plaers, the domains that will get excellent long tail traffic in the near future. If you think of a new term, write a blog post about it, and you have put your flag down on that idea on the internet, as long as your site is indexed by google.

the comment also proves that 2) some people take these non thought of, quickly written stream of conciousness articles are good enough to leave a comment against.
