The Ultimate Brain Test

The ultimate brain test is to recognise that what you are seeing around yourself is not reality. It is just a simulation that is being created by your mind, and assembled by sub consciousness that resides in your brain.

A brain test shows just how smart you are. Don’t take brain tests that show you how conditioned you are. This is a lot like the modern school system, where you learn things via memorisation, and then spew them out on the exam paper, forgetting them as soon as the test is over. Learn some real skills, learn what is really happening to the world. Test your brain and intelligence at every step.

Don’t accept the official lines, question everything. You do whatever you want, you just need to train your brain to know that at an instintual level.

Test your left brain against your right brain. Play games with reality. that is what being a psychonaught in the true sense is all about. Really see that your brain is not a passive creator of reality at all, but is instead a co-creator with the physical. A simulation machine that an illusory you resides within. That illusory you has sub components, and is not really a solid whole.

How could there be a soul when the self is not a solid whole? that rhymes.

We are really a whole heap of personality sub components and evolved psycho firmware inside wet hardware. Not that we are ‘just machines’, but we are definately not a set individual, indivisible. We are not the atoms of newtonion physics, but more the atoms of sub atomic physics. We can be broken apart.

Rabelais, Crowley and Thelema

Interesting results today from a random wikipedia hit. I thought I would test the internetmancy waters once more, and the first result I got was for Francois Rabelais.

His wikipedia entry came up, and I thought this is interesting, a 14th century French monk and literary figure. As I read down something tweaked in my mind, and a google search confirmed.

Rabelius is the guy who first used the term Thelema , and had a protypical Abbey of Thelema in his writings. Crowley got the basis of thelema, and the abbey concept straight from reading Rabelius. Not from some musty tome of archane law, or entities or even a sudden flash of insight.

He just read it. Though that it’s ‘do what thou wilt’ philosophy and utopian vision sounded cool, and used it as the basis for his new ‘religion’

Rabelais used the thelema ideas in his novels, which were very controversial in 15th century France.

The synchronicity of that random wikipedia page is amazing. I had just been listening to the latest paracast where the listener/host was talking about his experience with chaos magick, and also with crowley. This is a really strong message.

Aliester Crowley was just a person, like you and I. He was flawed, and his ideas cane to him from the universe, just like yours do to you.

I believe his controversial behavior was modeled somewhat on the actions of Rabelius also.

What is CVB?

CVB is one of those easy three letter combinations that are sitting right under your fingertips on the keyboard. Short three letter domains like that go for a lot of money on the domain reseller marker, and I am sure that CVB is no exception.

I think they cost so much becuase they are after people putting in type in traffic, as it is called in the bix. The just type a query in the URL bar of the browser, for instance in this case cvb, and then just start using that site. I think in the old days of the web, where people were very net illiterate this may have been a viable strategy.

These are probably also very old domains with some good accumulated PR, so that would go a long way to making them worth somehting.

Domain sitters may also use thWhat is CVB?em becuase they know sometime now or in the future, all TLA (three letter acronyms) will be used by a corporation or organisation, such as a sporting league. This Domain Will Attract Two Types Of Traffic

So I have the SEO optimisation on this site cranked right up, doing everything right and ranking very high on the search engines for some pretty obscure term.

And I have a big plan with this site, and others that i run to start using my online skills (its the magick of the modern times) to start generating some passive income, just from recording my online nomadic travellings. I have a few goals that a little bit of extra income would help, and a income stream of a few dollars trickling in every day would come in handy.

SO

The Adsense ads on the site serve two purposes. The first is that they give the page another random element, one more thing that I can feedback into image and text searches in order to generate new content for the site. The second is to get a few cents if something pops up there that is of interest. However people don’t really click these all that often.

THEREFORE

At the bottom of some posts, not for the eyes of you people who are here for the stuff about conciousness and reality and philosophy and magick, but just for the casual clicker that gets here from a google search, there will be some posts that have a section at the bottom called “BUY IT TODAY” which will have a link to an affiliate product or something like that.

If it doesn’t concern you, just ignore it, but It is my plan by throwing out hundreds if not thousands of these SEO rich articles inbetween this content, it will actually perform quite well over time by not competing directly against niche targeted sites, but attracting traffic that these sites would normally miss.

It is my hypothesis that it is content that is different from the norm that is out there, that has a high noise ratio combined with SEO targeting that will actually do quite well, and that it is volume that wins out over directed sales copy in the end.

To niche or not to niche

Here is a question for anyone who finds this blog in the future, at some time. Is is better to have a blog that is all about a single niche, or just fill a large wordpress installation up with content, and trap the passing traffic with a click or a comment.

Most blogs out there are not digested in one huge chunk, but just as seperate posts. One is read, and then the reader moves on. There is not point in having one consistant whole, if that is less interesting and optimised to find search results.

What you really should have is one domain with the maximum amount of novelty as possible. The largest amount of sticky search terms to attract long tail visitors. Especially if the site is not a personal branding site.

Please internet blog authors, just write what you want to write, not what you think people want to hear.

world full of fractal sequences

Everywhere you look in the world, we see fractal sequences. Self repeating patterns that grow in complexity, where the sum equals the whole, and the whole equals the sum.

I have read recently that if you get a hologram, and cut it into pieces, each part will then display the full image. Like if you have a hologram of a cat, and cut it in half. The two pieces won’t each show each half of the cat. They will show two full cats.

Its a bit like genetics isn’t it. Each cell in your body holds the information to make a whole new you. Every single cell.

Mathematically, fractal sequences look like this

Fractal geometry is found all throughout biological and physical nature. It is a self ordering structure inherent in the information and mathematics that comprise reality (or at least describe it)

25% of All Google Searches are NEW

To me this figure is partial proof for some of the concepts that I have been developing over the past few years. It is staggering to think that 25% of queries that google sees on a daily basis are things that have NEVER been searched for before.

Or, more exactly, they are things that have never been searched for before in that way.

Where is this information, this new form of questions coming from. Where are they appearing in people’s minds. This difference in search volume could be thought of as search ‘noise’. It will appear in googles keyword stats, and then people who are in the know will start to create content to specificly match these queries. It is digital evolution.

These new search queries are turning up spontaneously in the minds of people, and represent a change in the evolution of the meme-sphere of the planet, the sum total of the direction of thoughts of all people. So where does this NEW though come from.

Is there something in consciousness that is connected to a source of “thought noise.”? I posit that there is a force that ensures that peoples thoughts are not linear and only contain things that they have seen before, but instead mix up and create new synergies, as well as unexpected mutations of the contents of their minds.

Author Of Search Engine Results

Got the first search engine traffic starting to trickle in here now, which is excellent.  It is a great feeling when the great google spider decides to decend on your domain and weave the web.

The keyword traffic was for science fiction, which is something that I will be writing about quite a lot here over the life of this blog. I have always been a moderate fan of science fiction. Not the out and out hard stuff, like asimov etc. I first got a taste for it reading HG Wells when I was about 10, and quickly moved around reading Piers Anthony, Robert Heinlan and any other kind of pulp stuff I could get my hands on.

I soon moved onto horror, where Stephen King, Richard Laymon and Clive Barker fed my overactive imagination through my teenage years.

Now the kind of science fiction that I enjoy is stuff like the works of phillip k dick. Good old PKD is like an internet phenomena, nearly everyone is into him. Thats becuase the dude was out there.

I think he had a small intimation of the Information Reality, and the power of letting the logos, or words do the talking, and you just getting out of the way.

Online Thought Journal

This blog is a way of keeing the flow of ideas running in my head, so they do not stagnate and become forgotten, dead concepts.

I have found already that as soon as you turn of the tap of ideas, they continue to flow from nowhere. Once you get rid of any idea of style, or overall meaning then the words just flow from an invisible source, dictated in my head and translated via my fingers to the screen.

I really want to create some interesting and insightful material here, but have no qualms at all about the readability of the blog as a whole, and what people make of it. If there is an interesting InfoChunk in the writing that people get something from, then that is great.

I mean, in a whole 600 page novel, there may only be 2 or 3 great things that people can come away with after that massive time investment. One 400 word blog post could give you one great thing, and all for a time investment of 5 minutes.

So just to let you know, this is first and foremost just a stream of conciousness thought journal

Japanese SNES Tarot Game

I was just reading on wikipedia that they developed a tarot reading game for the SNES in Japan, but could not release it anywhere else in the world becuase of the religious sensitivities.

I am going to try to hunt down a ROM copy and see what it was like, would be very interesting to see I would think. The SNES was a great system in its day, and I, like many of my friends spent long hours in front of it.

To be able to do a tarot spread on it would be very interesting. Apparently it used the Rider Waite deck, so seeing 16 bit pixelated reporductions of the death card would be very interesting indeed.
