This Domain Will Attract Two Types Of Traffic

So I have the SEO optimisation on this site cranked right up, doing everything right and ranking very high on the search engines for some pretty obscure term.

And I have a big plan with this site, and others that i run to start using my online skills (its the magick of the modern times) to start generating some passive income, just from recording my online nomadic travellings. I have a few goals that a little bit of extra income would help, and a income stream of a few dollars trickling in every day would come in handy.

SO

The Adsense ads on the site serve two purposes. The first is that they give the page another random element, one more thing that I can feedback into image and text searches in order to generate new content for the site. The second is to get a few cents if something pops up there that is of interest. However people don’t really click these all that often.

THEREFORE

At the bottom of some posts, not for the eyes of you people who are here for the stuff about conciousness and reality and philosophy and magick, but just for the casual clicker that gets here from a google search, there will be some posts that have a section at the bottom called “BUY IT TODAY” which will have a link to an affiliate product or something like that.

If it doesn’t concern you, just ignore it, but It is my plan by throwing out hundreds if not thousands of these SEO rich articles inbetween this content, it will actually perform quite well over time by not competing directly against niche targeted sites, but attracting traffic that these sites would normally miss.

It is my hypothesis that it is content that is different from the norm that is out there, that has a high noise ratio combined with SEO targeting that will actually do quite well, and that it is volume that wins out over directed sales copy in the end.

Unquantifiable Thinking – Values And Definitions Of Reality

I wrote briefly in one of my previous posts about the idea of an unquantifiable reality.

The idea comes from the fact that our mind constantly narrows the stream of input it receives down to conceptions, definitions, and categories.

It allows our mind to manage the massive complexity of modern life, make predictions, decisions and inferences about what is currently happening. We have evolved this way for a specific purpose, and humans have been doing it back when we all lived in caves or the wild grassland of prehistory.

Our minds treat objects not as they are, but as abstract categories of things. Men are treated with a certain subset of behaviours, women with another. We treat all physical objects as if they are the idea and not the thing. Bowls are treated all the same, as are knives, or fridges, or televisions.

But really I think that life is at a base level unquantifiable. All things seek to transcend their definition, and concrete descriptions break down when you turn up the resolution, and look at life in wider or closer detail. The harder you study what defines a certain thing, the more you see the diversity within the category it is contained within.

It’s a hard concept to  get our minds around, but our every thoughts about a certain thing are not about the real things themselves, but about our internal concept of what that thing is.

The rise of modern civilization and capitalist systems depend on people working like this, because when you can quantify a thing, person or place, it allows you to put a hard value on it.

What price can be put on an hour of your life, or a finite resource like oil or water quality which is the common good of all. What price can be put on the land inhabited by a people for thousands of years, and their culture? It would be impossible to do without a narrowly defined value placed on it, by maiing quantities out of things that should be free.

It just can’t be done unless the quantisation is taken to the extreme levels we see today, where everything is a commodity, and there can be decisions made.

Stupid Evolving Internet Marketing

A good idea for a domain like this is to just pump it full of content, just write and write exclusive content, that is say things in a novel way that haven’t been said before to attract traffic. Make a whole heap of social media profiles where you just spout the same random gibberish, and get it propogated as far as possible via rss across the internet.

Dont worry about

  • building an audience
  • building a list
  • building a personal profile
  • Be the antithesis of all of that, and just get mountains of content out there are as quickly as possible. It would be interesting to see what the time difference / payoff equation came out equaling when you compared this to a more “by the book” internet marketing approach that i normally follow.

Just create stupid sites, which evolve over time to be content rich domains with heaps of monetisation things all over them. Like every third post should be about an affiliate product, and then the few around it should be about the same subject. All of the posts should take a maximum of five minutes to write, and have around 400 words minimum. Try to seo and keyword write them to some degree if you can.

What the aim of this is to create a clientless, prdouctless, business less way to create ongoing income via the web that may be done anywhere
