XML. Sitemap not updating

The XML sitemap plugin on this site is not updating by itself for some reason. It started a few weeks ago, when I realized that the reason the page was getting such bad SEO rankings was that the sitemap was 6 months old.

Imagine that. It had just come out of sandbox he’ll, started to build up some great page rank and then nothing.

I will have to reinstall the plugin ( that I have been relying on for years) and see if that fixes the issue.

Having an xml sitemap , and regularly submitting it go the major engines is a very important SEO step. It makes it easier for the site to be indexed. I have found it really useful for getting long tail posts indexed for the phrase in the page title.

Does anyone have any good recommendations for wordpress plugins

WordPress is fast becoming the beat CMS system on the planet, with massive power, flexibility and scalability.

WordPress when used as a CMS is easy to setup, easy for end users to publish content and has massive SEO benefits.

I have been dealing with CMS systems for over 13 years and have not found a better one. The best thing about it is because it is open source, you can extend whatever way you want.

Itcan just as easily be a micro site, ecommerce store or auction site with the right plugin.

If you are researching CMS systems, definately look into Wordpress as an option.

There are a lot of very cheap web hosting deals available at the moment. I use site5 personally to set up the vast majority of my sites, and it has a great control panel for resellers.

If you are after small single cheap accounts then hostgator is a great option. They have packages for under $5.ands monthand these come with heaps of extra add ons like sitebuilders and mailing list scripts.

They even have unlimited bandwidth and storage

For anyone serious about making money online, or monetising their though stream then a good flexible host is an absolute must.

Here is the method for those of you that want to play along at home :

1. Get random information noise from the internet. There are now some great services out there online that will give you something TOTALLY random, be it some text, a picture or a video. The scryers and card readers of old would go crazy if they had power like that

2.Feed that random search back through some more random generators. Put the random seed through another set of filters, such as google image ripper, or even a straight google / wikipedia search to get some more background to the concept that you have uncovered.

3. Reflect on what this random noise drags up from your mind. Think, remember and start to take notes.

4. Write down the thoughts that have been agitated to the surface from this random intake of information

There is also another step at the very start, if you want to take the divination part a bit further.. Ask a question before you begin
